You can walk or drive from Argostoli to Fanari, Kalamia, Gradakia and Paliostafida beaches :
Argostoli to Fanari – walking approx. 25 min, driving approx 6min (2,4km)
Argostoli to Kalamia – walking approx. 43 min, driving approx. 8 min (3.4 km)
Argostoli to Gradakia – walking approx. 16 min, driving approx. 3 min (1.2 km)
Argostoli to Paliostafida – walking approx. 16 min, driving approx. 3 min (1.2 km)
If you want to visit the four beaches on the same day you could incorporate a visit to the watermills at Katovothres, Acqui Division Memorial, and St Theodores Lighthouse (Fanari).
Kalamia Beach
Find the sweeping bay of Kalamia Beach located down a steep track from the unnamed coastal road that connects Fanari to Lassi. Explore the sea caves, swim in the beautiful turquoise waters or relax on a sunbed, or at the beach bar.
Gradakia Beach
The fine grey sands of Gradakia make it an ideal beach for children. The crystal clear waters are warm and shallow and the beach facilities are ideal for families. They include a canteen, showers and sun beds.

Is it possible to catch a bus to these beaches? We are coming in by cruise ship, do you have any other suggestions for a beach we could easily reach? Any suggestions are most welcome. Regards Merran. Melbourne Australia
Hi Merran, Fanari Beach is within walking distance of the dock. You can easily take a taxi or check the KTEL website for bus routes https://www.ktelkefalonias.gr/en/ . Have a great time.
