You also have the choice of enjoying a private sea excursion and an unforgettable experience next to a 3rd generation of professional fishermen.
Setting sail around 8.30 in the morning and returning at around 4pm. Pick up and drop off at the Lixouri Harbor or Argostoli Harbor. The day includes collecting the catch, laying the nets and lunch. Look out for turtles and dolphins.
Itinerary
On the Traditional fishing trip, the first thing in the morning is to get our nets out of the water. Then we get a quick sail through the fish farm cages. We chose to visit that area early in the morning when we have more chances of seeing the loggerhead sea turtles Caretta-Caretta. Then we stop at White rocks beach. On our way to this beautiful beach, we remove the fish and prawns we caught from the nets and together decide on the menu. This beach has no access by land. When we get there you can swim or snorkel in the turquoise waters.
The next and last destination is the small island of Vardiani also known as rabbit Island. We choose to anchor in one of its small bays so we can cook your lunch on the boat. You can help if you wish to, or we can take you out to explore the island or swim or snorkel or sunbathe it’s up to you.
Changes of destinations may occur only if the Captain decides that the weather won’t allow us to follow the schedule.
On private trips, it is possible to change the destinations, timetable or route if you wish. Or even do an afternoon private trip and include a romantic sunset swim and/or fishing with a line.
