This traditional taverna is located in the square of Makriotika, a well maintained village with great views over Agia Efimia bay. Maklithari is run by Petraggelos and his wife, and the taverna shares a terrace with the cafe next door where the locals spend their evenings!
The taverna stands in the same position as before the 1953 earthquake, have a look at the old photos inside the taverna that prove it!
Maklithari serves mainly meat dishes, with great spit roast pork, a variety of other delicious food is also served. This taverna is a good choice if you want a change from Agia Efimia harbour, or if you are staying in our villas located at Makriotika or Loukata, as you can come here on foot.
