Koroni is a beautiful sandy beach surrounded by lush vegetation under the village of Thiramonas. The rocks create an impressive background to this golden beach. The way down from a narrow road offers magical views of the Ionian Sea and even to the neighbouring Zakynthos on the clear days!
Adding to this beaches charm is the little river at its beginning, deriving from Ainos Mountain and flowing into the sea .
Koroni can be reached on foot as well by a trail from either Skala or Mavrata village.
Just above the beach you can relax, have a drink or snack and enjoy magical sunsets at the cosy bar Sesto Koroni.
The beach is organised with sunbeds and umbrellas ideal for both families with kids as well as romantic couples. It is worth staying here late at night or even sleep with your sleeping bags under the shining stars, away from civilization and light pollution.
