Following many visits to gastronomy festivals around Greece, I was happy to hear that the municipality of Argostoli has decided to create a wine and taste event on the island. The location of Thalassomilos can be reached on foot by the capital, through a nice walking trail by the sea (20min walk from the port).
A celebration of Kefalonia’s gastronomy and wine will take place at the capital of Argostoli on Saturday the 15th of June between 20.00-23.00 at Thalassomilos.
“Tratarisma” is a noun derived from the Greek verb [tratárõ] which means to treat someone to food! Tratarisma conveys the intention and desire to welcome and treat someone by offering them food and drinks.
The Kefalonian Tratarisma aims to promote the island’s culinary and wine culture and history in a qualitative and targeted way, by promoting locally produced products, their utilisation, and the creation of dishes that respect the products and traditions of Kefalonia.
Producers and winemakers of Kefalonia will be participating and sample their products and chat with festival visitors. At the same time, on the Live Cooking Stage, the well-known and acclaimed chefs Kyriakos Melas, Dimitris Papazymouris, and Kostis Kostakis will cook, using local products and recipes with respect and inspiration to Kefalonia’s traditions.
We will meet there, entrance is free!
