Located 11km from Lixouri on the Paliki Peninsula you will find Gero Gobos Lighthouse – one of the most impressive lighthouses in the Ionian Sea – it stands at the southwest corner of Kefalonia on the Paliki Peninsula.
13 meters high, with a 20mile range, built by the English in 1807 and destroyed by the German troops during their departure from the island. It was rebuilt in 1947.
If you visit Lagadakia beach, an untouched cove located one km away, you can end your day by admiring the beautiful sunset from the lighthouse.
You can combine a visit to Gero Gobos with a stop at the geological phenomenon of Kounopetra or just a relaxing day at Xi beach or a walk around at Lixouri town.
