Located approx. 9 km from Argostoli in the scenic village of Svoronata, Ammes beach is small, sandy close to the airport.

The soft sand and shallow, crystal clear, water makes it ideal for families, and the beach has good facilities including sunbeds, umbrellas, a snack bar and showers. Ammes close proximately to the airport means that you can watch flights land and take off whilst sunbathing!
During summer months you can find daily itineraries to Ammes from Argostoli (and vice versa) by the local bus.
It is also a highly recommended point to enjoy the sunset view at the very south of Kefalonia island, overlooking the Ionian Sea.
